Rock/Paper/Scissors

When you come in on a Monday, you get to play Rock/Paper/Scissors with the crew member that rings you up. If you win, you get 10% off, if the store wins, you have to pay full price. The La Crosse store has really been enjoying this variation to Monday whereas the Viroqua store hasn’t really embraced the idea. I mean really, doesn’t everyone’s Monday need a little excitement?!?

The Alamo

Not sure if all of you know this or not, but there is a new sandwich at the Cheese Corner. We call it “The Alamo” because we like to be clever and it has a very Tex-Mex taste and “The Tex-Mex Sub” didn’t seem interesting enough. I could describe it here but saliva is not good for your computer. You have to try it for yourself.

Happy Snow Day!

Ah, the memories!

I sit here today on my wedding anniversary. Oh, the days at VHS when Lance and I would eat everyday at the Cheese Corner. (Not sure how Mom felt about feeding my boyfriend every day at lunch-thanks, Mom!) And I can’t wait for the day when our girls come to my store for lunch…but I digress. Lance and I have been “together” for 20 years, that’s right, I said 20. And we have been married for 12 of them. Can’t believe it because we look so young, you say? I know…it’s very hard to believe. I am so thankful for every one of them!

We almost lost one…

We had a scare Monday! The daughter of one of our La Crosse guests came in Monday frantically searching for her father. He has some health issues and wasn’t answering his phone or his door. All turned out well (though he is facing a deathly beating with his un-used cell phone!) but it made me realize how close we get to our guests. Hopefully, we do a good job conveying to all of you that we truly appreciate you as friends, not “paying customers!”

Feel the love!!!
