Titanic adventure
This time I’m going to recommend a museum exhibit. Our daughters had spring break this week so we took advantage and skipped away to exotic Milwaukee. I know, we’re crazy adventurers, right? But seriously, it’s close and it’s a little get away. We got to spend some time in the pool and the hot tub, we did a little bowling…you’re basic family overnighter. But the highlight was the Titanic Exhibition that is currently at the Milwaukee Public Museum. My Dad was always fascinated with the story of Titanic so I basically grew up hearing the story. Then in 1997 the whole world got to see Jack and Rose glorify the story and I shared that movie with our girls this winter. (We all cried…hard. Lance was really disappointed that he missed it.
) The exhibit is hard to describe; there’s a kind of reverence there. And Milwaukee Public Museum has an awesome IMAX Dome theater on which they are showing “Ghosts of the Abyss,” a movie about James Cameron’s voyage to Titanic in 2001. Despite some mild motion sickness, it was phenomenal. Overall it was a stellar mini-vacation-I would highly recommend all of it!
