I need to clear my conscience…

I don’t really make it a secret, but I don’t really publicize it either. My husband knows and finds it very amusing. I have a couple of crushes. It’s sad, I know. But acceptance is the first step on the road to recovery, right?

The first, and largest of the two is for Duwayne Johnson. He’s just SOOOOO pretty! This one started way back when he was just “The Rock” on WWF. (That’s right, I said WWF. What??? It’s funny! It’s kind of like a macho soap opera but we had to give it up when our oldest daughter started noticing what was on the TV.) That kind of makes it a long-term crush because that was over 9 years ago. Now our girls know that whenever he makes a new Disney movie they won’t have to ask twice for us to go see it.

The second is just a little bit more embarrassing. (Now keep in mind that I am only 30ish so it’s not really that creepy!) First, remember that we have young daughters so it’s totally normal to watch High School Musical 1, 2 and 3. Often. I think at first it was just because he was so cutely smitten with Gabriella but he just keeps getting more adorable. We made sure to see #3 while it was in theaters and, as usual, it made me cry. Most movies make me cry because I’m a sap but, honestly, “I’ll be exactly 32.7 miles away from you”-does it get any sweeter than that. And who wouldn’t have a soft spot for a guy that can sing like that. So, needless to say, I will be the first in line to see Zac Efron’s new movie, 17 Again.

I’ll take my daughters along, of course, so I don’t look like a fool!
